ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting directly to the CEO, the VP of Business Development will be responsible for driving Red Seat Ventures' strategic growth through new talent partnerships, platform collaborations, and revenue diversification. This leader will identify high-value opportunities across the creator economy and lead cross-functional initiatives that expand RSV's footprint across audio, video, newsletters, and live events. This is a high-impact role with visibility across FOX and Tubi Media Group.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify, negotiate, and close new business partnerships with talent, agents, platforms, and media brands

  • Develop and execute monetization strategies across RSV's portfolio, including podcasting, streaming, subscriptions, and events

  • Lead outreach and pipeline development for high-potential creators and brands

  • Collaborate with editorial, product, and marketing teams to align business goals with content strategy

  • Track market trends and competitive activity to inform partnership strategy

  • Prepare and deliver presentations and deal summaries to executive leadership

  • Represent Red Seat Ventures at industry events and key meetings

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Proven experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or talent development within media, entertainment, or digital platforms

  • A strong network across the creator economy, including agents, managers, and platform executives

  • Demonstrated ability to lead high-stakes negotiations and close complex deals

  • Strategic mindset with analytical skills to evaluate partnership ROI and audience opportunity

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and collaborate cross-functionally

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

  • Experience working with direct-to-consumer media models (e.g., subscriptions, OTT, newsletters)

  • Familiarity with contract structuring and intellectual property considerations in talent-based media

  • Background in early-stage content ventures or creator-first platforms

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $179,000.00-240,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
