Job Summary

The Center for Autonomous Systems and Technologies (CAST) is seeking a Staff Scientist to forward a project focused on experimental aerodynamics and software development. The successful candidate should have postdoctoral experience, demonstrating comprehensive capabilities in conducting sophisticated fluid dynamics data analysis. This job includes aerospace-related machine learning algorithms. Specific duties include data analysis from wind tunnel experiments, data analysis using Machine learning techniques, and report writing.

Essential Job Duties
  • Algorithm development.
  • Data acquisition.
  • Data analysis and machine learning.
  • Report writing.
Basic Qualifications
  • PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Postdoctoral experience.
  • Mastery of programming languages C++, Python + MATLAB.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with teams from computer science, mechanical, and aerospace engineering, and global teams.

Hiring Range

$80,000 - $108,400 per year

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
