Technician

As a Field Technician, you will assist the field crew with field condition assessments and inspections of boilers, vessels, piping, steam turbines and related critical components in the power, utility, chemical, food processing and paper mill industries. This position requires frequent local and overnight out of town travel. This position frequently operates in a variety of power and utility plants.

* General laboring duties (equipment set up, equipment break down, gathering tools, etc.)

* Assist at the project site with field condition assessments.

* Assist at the project site with field inspections of various critical components.

* Operating various types of hand tools and power equipment.

* Perform other duties as assigned or required to support the team.

* Regular and predictable attendance, the ability to safely perform task and adhere to the company's safety policies and procedures.

* Organized, self-starter with the ability to work under pressure and conduct themselves professionally.

* Ability to effectively interact with employees from all levels within an organization.

* Ability to practice discretion and good judgment and maintain confidentiality.

* Hands on work experience in welding, machining, construction or a similar trade is a plus

Work Environment

This position operates mainly in a shop environment. Position will entail frequent exposure to varying conditions with exposure to any or all of the following: heat, cold, flying objects, burns, cuts/bruises, glare, dust, dirt, indoors and outdoors.
