Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and versatile Product Development Engineer to support our growing portfolio of Power, Engergy, Revenue and Power Quality meters and the respective Energy Management Software suites. This is a cross-functional role bridging product development, custom engagement and business strategy. You will be instrumental in guiding products from concept through commercialization - ensuring they meet customer needs, regulatory standards while being profitable.

A Day In The Life

Product Development & Specification



  • Collaborate with customers, sales, and internal stakeholders to gather and define market requirements and technical specifications.

    • Drive the process for regional product certifications by engaging with the regional certification bodies, regional sales teams, application engineers, and internal testing and R&D teams.
    • Coordinate with third-party labs and certification bodies to meet regional approval requirements.
    • Ensure all regulatory documentation is prepared and maintained for global markets.Translate specifications into engineering requirements in collaboration with R&D teams.

      Pre-Sales & Post-Sales Technical Support



      • Provide advanced technical support to global sales teams and key customers.
      • Participate in pre-sales activities such as demos, technical discussions, proposal support, and application recommendations.



      Market & Business Strategy



      • Conduct detailed market research and competitive analysis to identify gaps, opportunities, and product differentiators.
      • Assist product manager in developing pricing strategies to ensure competitive positioning and profitability.






What will help you thrive in this role?

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Electronics, or a related field.
  • 3-8 years of experience in application engineering, product development, or technical marketing within the power systems, energy metering, or industrial controls sector.
  • Strong understanding of power quality, revenue metering, or electrical measurement technologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with certification processes and standards such as UL, IEC, CE, etc.
