Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit

Position Summary
The purpose of the Division of Global Women's Health is to improve the health of women and children in low-resource settings. Our work focuses on obstetrical outcomes, prevention of mother to child HIV transmission, cervical cancer prevention and treatment, and training future leaders in global health research. Our projects are funded by a variety of donors including federal, foundation, and industry sponsors.

This position is responsible for leading research projects within the artificial intelligence (AI) lab focused on developing diagnostic tools to advance women's health in low-resource settings, both domestically and internationally. The position is expected to develop and lead independently funded research in this area, and to contribute to training pre- and post-doctoral students.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
The successful applicant must have an MD degree, have completed a 4-year residency in Ob-Gyn, and have completed a 2-year fellowship training in Global Women's Health.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Prefer professional experience living and working in sub-Saharan Africa.
Prefer publication record in the topical area of AI and women's health or other demonstrated experience with artificial intelligence.
