Summary of Job Duties:The Donor Experience Officer (DXO) works as part of a high-performing, donor-centered team responsible for assisting the Division of Advancement with creating deeper connections with its donors and alumni. Using a variety of channels (email, social platforms, video conferencing, and phone) the DXO focuses on discovery and qualification of an assigned portfolio of prospects and donors by providing outreach and information that increases their engagement and potential for giving. The DXO must be able to clearly articulate the mission and goals of the University of Arkansas while demonstrating enthusiasm for its vision and aspirations.

The DXO will manage a portfolio of 1,000 donors with clear weekly, monthly, and annual goals. The position will collaborate with other departments both internally at the University of Arkansas (including Advancement Marketing and Communications, Development Outreach, and the Arkansas Alumni Association) and externally execute 1:1 outreach campaigns using technology resources including EverTrue's cloud platform, social media and virtual communications software.

Working under the supervision of the Associate Vice Chancellor, Philanthropy and Engagement, the DXO will work under the guidance of the EverTrue Advancement Programs Manager. Comfort with making personalized solicitations, daily use of video, phone, and email and use of multiple databases and virtual communication technology is critical to success in this role.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others. Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education

  • At least one to three years of experience using social media, text messaging, phone, and video conferencing as communication channels in a professional position

  • At least one to three years of experience navigating and using databases, familiarity with CRM systems or other technology platforms

  • At least one to three years of direct sales, fundraising, hospitality or marketing experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree from an accredited institution

  • Three or more years of experience in a higher education setting

  • Three or more years of direct sales, fundraising, hospitality or marketing experience

  • Proven record of relationship-building, leadership, and collaborative skills

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Displays strengths in professionalism with strong customer service orientation

  • Displays strengths in entrepreneurship and program development

  • Must excel at working in cross-functional collaborations, working with teams to create innovative strategies and tactics that support Advancement's strategic objectives and goals

  • Requires understanding and ability to interact at a high-level with campus constituents, specifically, major gift officers in schools, colleges and units, on a proactive and on-going basis

  • Demonstrates a clear commitment to the importance of higher education and the values of the University of Arkansas and University Advancement

  • Displays excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills across mediums, especially email, video, and video conferencing

  • Exhibits a high degree of grit, resilience, and a desire to challenge the status quo

  • Requires strong analytical and critical thinking skills in data analysis to translate data into actionable information through recognizing connections and making meaning out of data

  • Requires problem solving skills to identify gaps, prioritize opportunities and challenges and guide good decision-making
