Vaco Indianapolis has partnered with a client in downtown Indianapolis in search of a Financial Services Representative. This is a contract to hire position. While on contract, this role will be part time Tuesday-Thursday in office. Once hired permanently, the position will be full time (M-F 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM) and work on a hybrid schedule (2 days WFH). Pay: $24-27/hr ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Process daily deposits of donations, invoice payments, miscellaneous income, loans, and investment income Manage accounts receivable process, including ACH collection of payments, if appropriate, along with monitoring of outstanding invoices Process accounts payable and journals Prepare monthly reports related to actual expenses compared to the budget Primary person for daily processing of financial systems data Perform follow-up procedures for assigned outstanding checks Audit computer output, prepare reports, and input data Manage bank accounts reconciliation processes, including scanning of statements Manage credit card transactions Scan and file processed accounts payable and journals, including all documentation, portfolio advancements, and statements Assist in the management of the audit process Oversee 1099Misc accounts, ensuring W9s are received; review quarterly reports for accuracy Provide support by spreadsheets and/or research for financial operations KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: Financial accounting support experience and expertise are required. Experience processing accounts payable (AP). Bookkeeping experience is a plus. Experience using Business Central is a plus. Strong organizational and time management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Proficiency with a calculator. Accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to complete work within reasonable deadlines. Strong analytical skills. Knowledge of loan processing or origination is a plus. Good listening, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively with teams in collaborative settings. Capacity to multitask and work with minimal supervision.
