The Opportunity

Our Business Services Professional teams are a critical component of the firm's success and we need an innovative recruitment professional to drive our US Business Services Professional recruitment and talent acquisition strategies. We want someone who can advise our leaders on the best ways to attract, assess and onboard talent. Utilizing direct recruitment strategies and where needed, recruitment agencies, to ensure we have the best people working at our firm. This role will also oversee the on-boarding and orientation of new hires to ensure they have the best integration into the firm.

This position will:

  • Advise hiring managers to develop recruitment strategies, utilizing various sources to market and advertise position vacancies; screening resumes, scheduling and conducting interviews, utilizing the applicant tracking system and referring qualified applicants to the appropriate hiring manager.
  • Leverage data and analytics to implement tactics aligned with our hiring strategy.
  • Proactively seek feedback from hiring managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting strategies and implementation. Develop feedback mechanisms from candidates to ensure we drive a leading and positive candidate experience.
  • Facilitate the offer and on-boarding process for new hires, including creating offer letters, reviewing background check results.
  • Work to enhance the recruitment service to the business through upskilling hiring managers on recruiting practice and using systems and technology to make our service easy to access and efficient.
  • Maintain contact with external employment-related agencies and attends career fairs/consortiums and related events to continually build a pipeline of quality candidates.
  • Develop candidate pools and direct commercial recruiting strategies to give Skadden an edge in the competitive talent market, including employer branding and recruitment campaigns.
  • Ensure recruitment efforts are in compliance with EEO and OFCCP federal regulations.

Successful candidates will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of five years of related Human Resources experience, including full cycle recruitment
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor and regulatory requirements
  • Demonstrate close attention to detail, effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and planning skills
  • Ability to handle multiple sensitive projects and shifting priorities, whilst maintaining confidentiality
  • Ability to use discretion and exercise independent and sound judgment, as well as effectively within a team
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines and be flexible to adjust hours and work the hours necessary to meet operating and business needs
  • Flexibility to travel

The starting base salary for this position is expected to be within the range listed under Salary Details. Actual salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other-job related factors, consistent with applicable law.
