We have an immediate need for a Senior Network Engineers with one of our largest customers. We are looking for Network Engineers that can join a very talent group of Network Architects. Must have strong Cisco design experience. Candidates with an *active secret clearance* will only be considered for this role. All Candidates must have their Security + CE certification. This individual will be able to sit 100% remote. BUT they must be able to get access to NAVY SIPR where they can report to site at least once a month to maintain SIPR access.
JOB DUTIES * The Network Engineer will obtain requirements from the Leidos Network Architect and translate them into network (router and switch) configurations. * Then the engineer will put together a test plan for the configuration they designed * Along the way the engineer will verify that the solution they design will meet all of the requirements outlined by the architect * The whole time, this engineer will need to collaborate with other groups within Leidos (for instance the Information Assurance, network security teams) to make sure the solution meets security standards * The engineer will also be responsible for a lot of documentation along the path to getting the solution approved. This approval can often times be very tedious and complicated with a lot of red-tape and documentation required by the Navy customer. * For example one of the projects is taking the VPN functionality on Juniper and moving it to Cisco VPN solution (aka GetVPN) SKILLS REQUIRED * Security+ CE, and IAT III certification acquired with in 6 months. * Strong Cisco router and switch engineering and configuration experience (experience level should be equivalent to a CCNP level) * Strong understanding of OSI layers II and III * Strong understanding of Transport Boundary System design and System interfaces * Expertise with routing protocols OSPF, BGP, IPv4/IPv6, etc. * Strong understanding of VPN * Also should have strong Experience with Operations-oriented engineering & implementation strategies (i.e., production system will need to be functional in a transition-state for an extended period) * Experience with Test Plan/Procedure documentation * Experience with WAN edge design/engineering * Experience with logical/virtual network segmentation techniques * Strong Experience with Operations-oriented engineering & implementation strategies (i.e., production system will need to be functional in a transition-state for an extended period) * Experience with Test Plan/Procedure documentation * Strong Experience with dynamic IPSEC (e.g., GETVPN, FLEXVPN, DMVPN) - nice to have * Technology dependencies (e.g., PKI, IKE) - nice to have * Experience with dynamic tunneling (e.g., Multi-point GRE) - nice to have * Intermediate understanding of MPLS - nice to have * Experience with DISA NETWORK/IA STIGS - nice to have * Familiarity with DODAF SE methodology and documentation requirements - nice to have PREFERRED * Experience working on GOVERNMENT networks o DISA NETWORK/IA STIGS o Understanding of JIE constructs - Base Node o DOD SAFE methodology and documentation requirements *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr.
