Responsibilities

Class A CDL required.

As a Skilled Laborer/Groundman, you will support all phases of utility construction for various types of telecom projects. You believe in doing the job right. Being the best. And you're up for the challenge.

In addition, you will:

  • Operate and assist with fiber blowing machines to install fiber optic cables through conduit systems.
  • Load, transport, and unload tools, materials, and heavy equipment using company vehicles and trailers.
  • Prepare job sites by setting up safety barriers, inspecting conduit pathways, and clearing debris.
  • Assist in trenching, hand digging, and potholing to access or verify underground utilities.
  • Maintain clean and organized job sites and vehicles.
  • Support aerial and underground fiber installation as needed.
  • Identify and troubleshoot basic equipment or field issues as they arise.
  • Learn and safely operate hand tools and specialized fiber installation equipment.
  • Follow safety procedures and report hazards or incidents immediately

Qualifications

  • You have a track record of completing work with a high level of quality
  • You have a knack for figuring out hard problems and enjoy a hands-on approach to your work
  • You are looking for long term projects
  • You enjoy getting your hands dirty with your team
  • You have a valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
  • You want to learn the telecom construction trade to advance your career of Coax Splicing, Fiber Splicing, Directional Drilling, etc.
  • You want to make an impact with your local community and enjoy being home daily

Travel Details

  • $125/day per diem while travelling.
  • Schedule is full time with opportunity for overtime
  • Crews may be traveling throughout WA, OR, ID, UT, and CA.
  • Crews may be traveling up to 5 weeks on with 1 week off.
