Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Assembly, Repair and Test Technician. The Ultra manufacturing function is responsible for the manufacture, integration and test of a wide range of products and systems providing innovative capabilities for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostics, repair, rework, and testing of electronic assemblies used in aerospace equipment.
- Follow FAA regulations and company procedures to ensure airworthiness standards are met.
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, work instructions, and IPC-A-610 standard.
- Complete and maintain all documentation including repair station logs and traceability records.
- Perform surface mount (SMT) and through-hole (TH) soldering, including removal and replacement of components under microscope.
- Use tools and test equipment such as soldering irons, multimeters, oscilloscopes, and X-ray inspection machines.
- Maintain ESD safety protocols.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work with others in a cooperative, team manner.
- Ability to professionally handle critical feedback from quality inspectors and management.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to quality standards.
- US Person or a non-US Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in PCB assembly, repair, or rework, preferably in an aerospace or FAA-regulated environment.
- Proficiency in soldering and rework techniques for SMT and TH components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electronic schematics.
- Working knowledge of FAA Repair Station procedures and documentation requirements.
- IPC certification: IPC-A-610
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to visually inspect product or parts through a microscope.
- Must pass eye exam (can wear glasses or contacts).
- Controlled hand dexterity for working with tweezers, soldering irons and tiny components.
- Controlled hand-eye coordination for manipulating tiny components under a microscope.
- Ability to read and follow production procedures.
