$2,625.59 to $2,888.15 biweekly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Government Center/Viera. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Performs skilled professional work involving the coordination and management of all aspects of large, complex County construction projects, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within an established budget, while adhering to all applicable standards and specifications, including compliance with codes and regulations.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree in Building Construction, Architecture, Engineering or closely related fieldPLUS six (6) years of professional experience in the construction of transportation infrastructure, including paved roads, drainage systems, bridges, and sidewalks including two (2) years in a supervisory capacity. Must have experience in reading and interpreting construction design plans, generating quantity take-offs, preparing detailed estimates, acquiring the necessary project permits, and establishing project controls including documents, contracts, bids, and performance measures. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. Certification as a Registered Architect, Professional Engineer, Building Contractor or General Contractor is preferred. Experience in the use of a project management/work management software, and Microsoft Excel is preferred. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess or obtain, prior to employment, a valid Florida Driver's License and maintain said license during the term of employment. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
