You'll be a part of the team that serves as the primary interface between Data & Analytics (D&A) and the business, delivering tailored insights that fuel strategic initiatives across AXIS. From underwriting to actuarial and finance, your work will shape how data is consumed, trusted, and used to drive growth.

What you'll do

  • Champion stakeholder engagement: Build strong relationships across the organization, understanding data needs and delivering insights that inform high-impact decisions.

  • Be a trusted advisor: Communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders at all levels, translating complex data into compelling narratives and actionable options.

  • Own the data experience: Serve as the go-to expert for day-to-day data and analytics needs, ensuring insights are accessible, relevant, and easy to consume.

  • Lead with vision: Guide visualization developers in creating intuitive dashboards and reports that not only inform-but inspire action.

  • Set the standard: Establish and uphold best practices for data interpretation, report structure, and metric consistency to ensure quality and clarity.

  • Curate the insight ecosystem: Design and manage a centralized hub for data insights-making it easy for users to discover, access, and understand the information they need.

  • Build trust in AI: Design insight frameworks that help business stakeholders understand and trust AI-enhanced processes, ensuring transparency and adoption.

  • Shape the future of decision-making: Create innovative ways to integrate third-party data into our insights, unlocking new opportunities and competitive advantages.

  • Collaborate across D&A: Work closely with technical teams to align reporting solutions with upstream data architecture, governance, and product development-minimizing manual workarounds and technical debt.

You may also be asked to take on additional responsibilities aligned with the nature and scope of this role.

This role reports to theHead of Data Insights.

About You

What you bring:

  • Proven experience in data roles within the (re)insurance industry, ideally across US, Bermuda, and/or UK markets.

  • Exceptional communication skills-able to engage stakeholders and collaborate across teams.

  • Deep understanding of insurance data and the analytical needs of underwriting, actuarial, finance, and other key functions.

  • Expertise in designing impactful reports and visualizations that tell clear, compelling stories.

  • Strong technical acumen in data visualization tools, especiallyPower BI.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing business needs, and communicate effectively through change.

What we offer:

US:

For this position, we currently expect to offer a base salary in the range of $150k - $200k (New York). Your salary offer will be based on an assessment of a variety of factors including your specific experience and work location.

In addition, you will be offered competitive target incentive compensation, with awards based on overall corporate and individual performance. On top of this, you will be eligible for a comprehensive and competitive benefits package which includes medical plans for you and your family, health and wellness programs, retirement plans, tuition reimbursement, paid vacation, and much more.
