GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Are you a numbers enthusiast with a taste for the restaurant world? Our accounting team is looking for a Staff

Accountant- Franchise to help support our growing franchise network. This is an exciting opportunity to jump into the heart of the

food industry-where spreadsheets meet sandwiches and accounting drives business success. You'll assist in tracking

franchise revenues, supporting month-end closings, processing receivables and payables, and more. All of this happens

in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where you'll gain valuable experience and grow your career. If you're detail-

oriented, driven, and an effective communicator across teams and levels, we'd love to have you on our team!

FOCUS

  • What You'll Be Serving Up (aka Your Key Responsibilities):
  • Prepare accurate and timely journal entries and account reconciliations to support the financial close process for
  • franchise revenue and other areas as needed.
  • Be a key voice during period-end close meetings by delivering clear and insightful variance analysis and
  • bridging actual results to budget, forecast, and prior periods.
  • Calculate and process franchise royalties, fees, and other revenue.
  • Support our fast-growing franchisee development efforts by working with new and existing franchisees on their
  • accounting needs.
  • Process vendor payments, including initiating ACHs, wire transfers, and bank payments to keep things running
  • smoothly.
  • Manage and improve working capital by monitoring franchisee collections and vendor payment timing.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with franchise operations, development, and others as necessary to investigate and
  • resolve discrepancies with confidence and clarity.
  • Create and maintain documentation for your areas, including process maps and internal controls that support our
  • SOX compliance efforts.
  • Support a smooth and successful annual financial audit by assembling accurate documentation and detailed
  • supporting schedules.
  • Support other projects and initiatives as needed.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS

  • Must be able to engage in problem-solving skills to help identify and solve potential issues in the field.
  • Must be able to communicate heavily through telephone, e-mail and in-person communications.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND BEHAVIORS

  • Must embrace the company culture and exhibit 'Good Vibes'.
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of accounting experience.
  • Franchised, restaurant, or other multi-unit businesses is highly desirable.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a plus.
  • NetSuite general ledger is a plus.
