The Product Management team is looking for aSenior Product Manager to lead the vision, strategy, and execution of Relativity's core Search capabilities. This role will be central to our transformation effort - transitioning Relativity to a new cloud-native search architecture. You'll collaborate across engineering, design, sales, and customer success to ensure a seamless transition and deliver impactful enhancements to relevance, performance, and usability.

Job Description and Requirements

Job Responsibilities:

Customer Centric

  • Connect with external and internal customers to gain a deep understanding of Search workflows and needs, and validate our approach to addressing them.

  • Speak to internal stakeholders including engineering, user researchers, and designers about the variety of workflows and end-user needs across segments and personas.

  • Communicate user needs to engineering teams and other stakeholders to align on product vision.

  • Conduct user and competitive research to inform product direction.

Product Leadership

  • Apply data-driven decision making at every stage of the product lifecycle, from discovery through delivery.

  • Use validation techniques such as telemetry analysis, A/B testing, and cohort analysis to refine product direction and confirm value delivered.

  • Lead and manage highly complex, cross-functional transformation projects, ensuring smooth coordination across engineering, design, customer success, and go-to-market teams.

  • Possess a deep understanding of our product suite and effectively communicate its value from both business and technical perspectives.

  • Track and report on key product metrics relevant to your domain and expected outcomes.

  • Act as a product leader by facilitating communication across teams, aligning stakeholders, and resolving conflicts around vision and direction.

Technical Fluency

  • Partner closely with Engineering to ensure products meet standards for scalability, reliability, usability, observability, efficiency, and performance.

  • Understand technical aspects of cloud platform architecture to communicate effectively with development teams and inform product decisions.

  • Possess the technical acumen to understand engineering challenges, identify root causes of incidents, and propose practical solutions.

  • Engage in technical discussions with Engineering Managers and Architects to anticipate how future work will impact customers and the product.

Execution

  • Plan and manage the deprecation of legacy search features or systems, ensuring clear communication and smooth transitions for customers.

  • Break down large initiatives into iterative releases with measurable goals for each milestone.

  • Align with cross-functional teams early to identify and solve complex problems together.

  • Develop internal and external go-to-market content, including documentation and release notes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in product management building custom software for thousands of daily users

  • Direct experience working on Search products based on Elasticsearch, Lucene, or other search engines

  • Familiarity and comfort with data, including the ability to analyze and monitor product health, set goals, back up assumptions, and track success

  • Strong tactical execution with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

  • Detail-oriented without losing focus on strategy and big picture objectives

  • Excellent communicator and presenter, both written and verbal

  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or Design or comparable work experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills and comfort with large-scale data and experimentation

  • Excited and curious about highly complex problems, systems, and interactions

  • A team player with proven ability to validate solutions and deliver features from inception to delivery

  • Familiarity with AI-driven solutions such as chatbots, analytics, and concept searching

Relativity is committed to competitive, fair, and equitable compensation practices.

This position is eligible for total compensation which includes a competitive base salary, an annual performance bonus, and long-term incentives.

The expected salary range for this role is between following values:

$140,000 and $210,000

The final offered salary will be based on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate's depth of experience, skill set, qualifications, and internal pay equity. Hiring at the top end of the range would not be typical, to allow for future meaningful salary growth in this position.
