Product Owner III - Internal Product Management The Product Owner III is a senior leader within the Internal Product Management team, responsible for maximizing the value of internal software solutions and driving system-wide improvements across critical departments such as Finance, Operations, Service Delivery, and Compliance. Reporting to the Director of Product & Software Engineering, this role connects business challenges to scalable internal solutions-while using AI tools to boost clarity, creativity, and execution speed. You will lead a cross-functional team of developers, analysts, and QA engineers, prioritize complex backlogs, and partner with internal stakeholders to identify high-impact opportunities. You'll also serve as a role model for AI-augmented product management, using modern tools and practices to enhance how we ideate, communicate, and deliver value. Key Responsibilities:
- Own the roadmap and delivery for a portfolio of internal-facing tools, ensuring each initiative aligns with business priorities and delivers measurable outcomes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Service Delivery and other DataBank teams to uncover pain points, document workflows, and translate needs into clear, actionable user stories.
- Drive system-level improvements by connecting processes across teams and optimizing workflows-not just building isolated features.
- Lead Agile planning and execution alongside engineering, QA, and UX; maintain a well-prioritized, clearly scoped backlog.
- Leverage AI tools for ideation, documentation, research, and visualization-modeling responsible, high-value AI use within the product organization.
- Guide product discovery and validation, grounding decisions in user feedback and iterative testing.
- Mentor and support Business Analysts and Junior Product Owners, helping build a high-performing, business-aligned product team.
- Ensure transparency and alignment through strong communication with stakeholders and cross-functional partners.
- Champion usability and internal adoption, ensuring tools are intuitive, effective, and well-supported.
- Contribute to strategic planning by surfacing cross-cutting needs and informing quarterly and annual Systems Innovation goals.
- Define and track success metrics, using data to drive product improvements and celebrate wins.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, information systems, engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of product ownership, product management, or internal systems leadership-ideally focused on enterprise automation or internal tooling.
- Deep knowledge of Agile practices, SDLC, and iterative software delivery.
- Proven ability to bring clarity from ambiguity and deliver results across complex business domains.
- Proficient with backlog and planning tools like Linear, Azure DevOps, JIRA, or similar.
- Excellent communication skills-able to bridge technical and non-technical audiences through writing, presentations, and facilitation.
- Experience applying AI tools to product work, including prompt design, summarization, and visual storytelling.
- Bonus: Familiarity with datacenter operations, financial systems, or infrastructure workflows.
What Success Looks Like
- You deliver outcomes, not just features-measured by automation gains, time savings, and stakeholder satisfaction.
- You demonstrate a systems mindset, identifying patterns, dependencies, and process opportunities across departments.
- You model AI-augmented productivity, using it to ideate, organize, and accelerate your work without sacrificing quality.
- You strengthen our product culture by mentoring others, improving team practices, and raising the bar for clarity and impact.
- Your partners trust you as a strategic problem-solver, not just a backlog manager-someone who sees the bigger picture and drives real change.
