Position Summary:

The Inside Sales Representative provides office-based sales and customer service at the Collins Hardboard Facility. The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for managing inside sales accounts, Big Box retail sales, and transportation.

Duties/Responsibilities:



  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and respond to customer inquiries regarding the product, product availability, installation, warranty, etc.
  • Manage sales accounts, including order entry, pricing and order changes, and invoicing in the sales account software system.
  • Responsible for management of Vendor Management Inventory (VMI) programs for big box retailers, including order entry, invoicing the retailer, and associated logistics.
  • Ensure TruWood samples are manufactured, bundled, and distributed based on customer needs.
  • Responsible for diagramming of railcars to maximize weight and space.
  • Archive rail transportation documentation.
  • Manage customer communications related to rail and truck freight.
  • Manage communications with transportation carriers.
  • Research, contact and request quotes from alternative carriers if core carrier is not available.
  • Notify customers with will-call orders when shipment is ready for pick up.
  • Provide reports for sales, accounting, retailers, and the composite paneling association.
  • Support outside sales team with inventory management software's sales reporting tools.
  • Schedule meetings to ensure accurate and efficient communication between sales and production.
  • Perform additional duties as required by supervisor.
  • On-site attendance is essential to effectively perform the listed duties and responsibilities.


Required Skills and Abilities:



  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Time-management and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365.


Education and Experience:



  • Associate degree in business or the equivalent experience preferred.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Experience using an inventory management software system preferred.


* Administrative building requires walking up and down outside stairs with exposure to the elements on a daily basis.
