Title: Senior Project Scheduler

Salary: $ 77,600 - $98,800

Focus: The Senior Project Scheduler will interface with cross-functional departments and customers, and be responsible for creating, managing, and analyzing project schedules, as well as generating reports to communicate schedule status, performance metrics, and associated risks to stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have direct experience managing project schedules, with proficiency in Microsoft Project and familiarity with Oracle Primavera. This role requires expertise in the Critical Path Method (CPM) and preferably experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.
Senior Project Scheduler Essential Job Functions:
- Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project and Oracle Primavera, applying Critical Path Method (CPM) techniques to identify risks and ensure timely delivery.
- Integrate Earned Value Management (EVM) principles with scheduling to track project progress, manage cost and performance metrics, and support accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams-engineering, procurement, vendors, and project management-to align schedules and cost baselines with project objectives and resolve potential conflicts.
- Interface with customers and stakeholders to communicate schedule updates, EVM performance metrics (e.g., CPI, SPI), and risk mitigation plans, ensuring alignment with expectations.
- Identify schedule and cost risks, monitor performance, support recovery plans for deviations, ensure compliance with standards and contracts, and provide training on scheduling tools and EVM practices.
Senior Project Scheduler Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma (or equivalent) with at least five years of experience in project scheduling
- PMP, PMI-SP, or EVP certification preferred.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Project; familiarity with Oracle Primavera is a plus.
- Proficient in Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling with a strong ability to identify and mitigate schedule risks on complex projects preferred.
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM), including performance metrics like CPI and SPI, and the ability to generate and interpret analytical reports preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
Location-Specific Requirements:
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Must have a valid US Driver's License.
This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls if required.
This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
This position requires successful vetting for unescorted access in accordance with U.S. Army and Department of Defense access policies.
