Internal Posting Title: Gas Operations Manager

Oversees business analytics and supports compliance programs, such as Leak Survey and UFG, by integrating data-driven decision-making into field operations and advancing enterprise-wide performance, safety, and regulatory goals.

Principle Duties include:

  • Lead centralized analytics team supporting multiple business units.
  • Oversee compliance-driven programs such as Leak Survey and support UFG tracking, ensuring regulatory adherence and performance visibility.
  • Partner with field leadership to embed data-driven decision-making into daily operations.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to modernize and streamline reporting processes.
  • Provide strategic leadership, coaching, and mentorship to the analytics team.
  • Develop and maintain performance metrics and operational scorecards aligned with business goals.
  • Maintain consistent communication with operations staff and leadership to support project execution and operational decision-making.
  • Standardize reporting processes and tools to ensure timely, accurate, and actionable insights.
  • Conduct regular reviews of team performance and work products to ensure compliance and goal achievement.
  • Monitor field operations for consistent execution of procedures and standards.
  • Assist in the technical training and professional development of employees.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of applicable policies (including SOPs), practices, and procedures as well as federal codes, PUC, DOT rule and regulations, and process/subject matter expert.
  • Exceptional skills in Microsoft software, Excel formulas, databases, Ventyx and other internal systems
  • Strong planning, writing, organizational, project, and data management skills.
  • Advanced analytical and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, including written/verbal communications, and interpersonal relationships.
  • Experience with cross-functional teams and supporting centralized analytics or compliance functions.
  • Proficiency in developing and interpreting performance metrics, scorecards, and/or dashboards.
  • Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for field and executive leadership.

Working conditions:

  • Travel approximately 75% to work sites of PNG, external customers and travel beyond Pittsburgh representing PNG; primarily an office environment.

Experience/Education Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years related experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years demonstrated success in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success in project management and analytical projects
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related field required.
