Sustaining Engineer

This is an Operations position with a focus on managing New Product Introduction and manufacturing support along with supporting the administration & strengthen our Change Control processes to improve the completeness and accuracy of engineering content. Lead the release process & internal change control to ensure consistency and control of deployed products supported though our AAI teams. Drive continuous improvement actions in processes & documentation systems

Responsibilities include:

• Support of the manufacturing operations at Contract Manufacturer and in house development.
• Creation of Work Instructions as needed.
• Provides product change management and coordinates engineering change orders (ECOs), facilitates review, approval, and retention of design documentation.
• Coordinates and chairs Change Control Board meetings
• Monitors all configuration activities and ensures compliance with standard processes, including engineering change impact analysis.
• Identifies configuration issues and provides leadership in developing solutions
• Support PLM system activities/functions across all NPI Programs to ensure compliance with Engineering Change Management Process. Ensure accuracy and completeness of information entered into the PLM system
• Generate and support approval of NPI Change requests.
• Proactively conduct "spot audits" and "over-the-shoulder-reviews" of Project Teams to facilitate their understanding of and enhance their compliance to Engineering Change Process procedures.
• Guiding process practitioners appropriately to ensure change process is executed appropriately at each described step
• Provide an interface to IT Support for ECR/CO tool issues
• Continually improve and streamline the Engineering Change Management process
