The Endpoint Security Engineer will provide global support across Watts Water for the entire lifecycle of security tools that safeguard the environment. This includes planning, building, configuring, deploying, and maintaining threat protection, detection, and response tools.

The successful candidate must be self-motivated, professional, flexible, and able to drive improvement in a diverse organizational environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Responsible for running and maintaining support of the security tools used to protect, detect, and respond to security threats.
  • Identifies key areas for improvement in the technology used.
  • Ensure tool effectiveness according to vendor specification, configuration, and deployment requirements.
  • Assist the Security Operations Manager by offering expertise in developing policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies to ensure endpoint security measures are current and effective.
  • Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and tools to enhance endpoint protection.
  • Work closely with IT, network, and security teams to ensure cohesive security strategies and implementations.
  • Ensure all endpoints are regularly updated with the latest security patches and updates to mitigate vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and risk analyses on endpoints to identify and remediate potential security weaknesses.
  • Provide metrics on Security tool deployments.

Education And Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related Cybersecurity, Infrastructure or Engineering experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of various antivirus solutions and their capabilities.
  • Familiarity with EDR solutions and their capabilities in detecting and responding to threats.
  • Advanced understanding of Microsoft, macOS, and Linux-based Operating Systems.
  • Experienced working with Configuration Management platforms such as Intune, SCCM, PDQ and JAMF.
  • Intermediate understanding of programming/scripting (VBS/PowerShell/Python or Shell Scripting)
  • Proficiency in Cloud Technologies such as AWS and Azure.
  • Comfortable working in a large, centrally managed environment.
  • Results-oriented, self-motivated, and haseffective oral/written communication skills.

The expected salary range for this position is 110-130k annually. Actual compensation will be dependent upon individual skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
