The Time and Labor Administrator is responsible for the collection and processing of all employee timecards. The position is responsible for system configuration regarding the processing of the timecards, including employee earnings policies and work groups and holiday schedules. The position is also responsible for testing system fixes, enhancements, and upgrades, and for the production and publication related reports and metrics to the business.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities



  • Performs a variety of Time and Labor processing, including scheduling and monitoring the Oracle Time and Labor (OTL) process; creates and runs ad hoc queries; runs OTL and Time and Labor reports; and resolves errors associated with the OTL process.
  • Performs a variety of OTL troubleshooting and support activities, including resolving configuration-related time exceptions; coordinating resolution of audit discrepancies; supporting Pay Group administrators, supervisors, and managers in troubleshooting process issues and in resolving time exceptions.
  • Performs a variety of Time and Labor system set-up, configuration and maintenance activities, including performing audits of the payable time load for overages and exceptions, maintaining Time & Labor assignment for work groups, earnings policy, and holiday calendars.
  • Performs a variety of special projects and assignments related to the Time & Labor aspects of development and maintenance, including testing system patches and fixes, participating in the developing of specifications for required reports and/or Time and Labor rules.
  • As assigned, represents the OTL function at various meetings with other departments and divisions; communicates information and activities with others as appropriate.
  • Develop strong relationships with field personnel; provide excellent customer service in support of the HDR business units, and accountable for prompt and accurate assignment and resolution of requests for assistance.
  • Understand HDR's core business and demonstrate a sense of urgency toward business-critical issues to ensure processing is completed within the timelines set to align with the HDR strategic plan.
  • Develop and maintain reports to accommodate the various reporting needs of the business.
  • Manage the employee retro workflow and approval process.
  • Understand and fully utilize technology to alleviate customer-impacting concerns.
  • Understand and follow processes, procedures and internal controls.
  • Strategic partner to ensure reporting compliance within the HDR structure.
  • Support and participate in collaboration activities to promote and implement continuous process improvement.
  • Perform other job-related tasks as needed or assigned.



Required Qualifications



  • 2 years of accounting and/or business experience, preferably in Payroll and/or Time and Labor in an ERP environment
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and collaborate with others while recommending and implementing lasting process improvements/enhancements to align with HDR's strategic plans.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; is analytical and has strong problem-solving skills.
  • Highly motivated and self-directed.
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to understand and develop process and controls.
  • Excellent customer service and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Associate's degree in business or a related field.
  • Previous ERP experience.
  • Preference given to local candidates
