Valiant is seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst, Government Accounting and Compliance (GAC) to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role focuses on managing audit and review engagements with external Government agencies, including the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) and the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA). In addition to serving as a key liaison during Government-facing activities, the Senior Analyst will support critical internal compliance efforts. Responsibilities include contributing to the development and maintenance of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) Disclosure Statements, preparing General Dollar Magnitude (GDM) submissions, Incurred Cost Submission (ICE), Forward Pricing Rate Proposal (FPRP) and supporting initiatives to ensure company-wide adherence to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), agency supplements, and CAS requirements. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Government cost accounting, outstanding analytical skills, and exceptional attention to detail. This role reports to the VP of Finance & Controller and offers flexibility for either an in-office or remote work location.
Responsibilities:
- Primary interface liaison with the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) regarding Disclosure Statements, Business Systems, Incurred Cost Submissions, Forward Pricing Rate Submissions, and final voucher audits.
- Prepare and analysis the annual Incurred Cost Submission and unallowable reviews pertaining to final claimed cost.
- Drive the preparation of Forward Pricing Rate Proposals and monitor monthly rates, including variance analysis and trending.
- Coordinate with the Business, any organization changes that could impact cost allocations and revisions to Disclosure Statements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide guidance on government accounting compliance and financial implications of government contracts, reinforcing awareness through training, preparing white papers and testing internal controls.
- Stay updated with changes in government accounting regulations and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.

- BA/BS in Accounting/Finance or related field with five years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education
- 3-5 years experience in finance role in government contracting
- Experience in Costpoint (Deltek System)
- Expertise in and ensure compliance with government accounting regulations, including Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARs) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)
- Experience developing/auditing annual incurred cost submissions, forward pricing packages, and CAS disclosure statements and supporting DCMA and DCAA audits
- Working knowledge of the annual incurred cost submission (ICS), Forward Pricing, Final Claimed rates, and CAS disclosure statements
- Experience working with large datasets and financial analysis tools
- Strong Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities with attention to detail.
- Proficiency with computer systems such as Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), database and documentation control systems including VLOOKUP and Pivot Table functions.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly regarding follow-up on unresolved issues
- Strong ability to adapt to change and open to considering new approaches in resolving issues.
- Strong understanding of confidentiality matters.
- Ability to multi-task, handle multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines which may require working outside of standard work.
- Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to, lifting, ascending, and descending stairs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, to various degrees. This job will primarily be in an Office Setting.
