This position can be remote; however, candidates located in the Midwest or Southeast U.S. are strongly preferred due to customer proximity and team collaboration needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead & Inspire: Be accountable in leading a dedicated commercial team to achieve annual sales and profit targets/budgets. Set clear objectives and foster a high-performance culture. Actively coach team members in their career paths while managing succession planning.
  • Drive Sales Success: Manage territories, optimize resources, and oversee sales forecasting. Establish a robust opportunity pipeline and consistently manage pricing in line with business unit pricing policy.
  • Strategic Decision Making: Influence business planning, market positioning, and revenue growth initiatives. Collaborate with functional business partners in achieving objectives established in the strategic plan for the Polymer business.
  • Customer Engagement: Foster a commercial culture that emphasizes F2F customer engagement. Leading by example, the Sales Manager will directly manage a select group of high-profile accounts that are essential to annual revenue and profitability goals.
  • Innovation & Problem-Solving: Leverage technical resources to deliver maximum value and achieve win/win solutions in solving customer applications.

What You Bring

  • Leadership Experience - Proven ability to guide and motivate a sales team, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity and a track record of team and project leadership. Experience in managing and developing teams is highly valued.
  • Market Expertise - Strong understanding of industry trends, competitive positioning, and strategic execution. Experience across multiple markets, applications, or geographies is a plus.
  • Customer-Centric Approach - Ability to build strong relationships at all organizational levels-executive, middle management, and production floor-while utilizing a combination of consultative and solution-based selling. Demonstrated success in uncovering new opportunities and driving performance above target for at least 4 consecutive years.
  • Sales & Business Acumen - At least 8 years of progressive sales experience with expertise in the sales process, CRM systems (Salesforce proficiency preferred), and financial metrics such as margins, operating income, and working capital. Strong reporting skills and a disciplined, data-driven approach to sales strategy and forecasting.
  • Technical Knowledge - Bachelor's Degree required, with a background in chemical engineering, marketing, or technical/mechanical disciplines preferred. Solid understanding of supply chain processes and commercial frameworks.
  • Communication & Agility - Expert oral, presentation, and written communication skills. A flexible, creative mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-changing environment and navigate ambiguity with confidence. A "can-do" attitude is essential.
  • Mobility - Ability to travel up to 70% of the time across North America to support team and customer engagement.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.

The salary for this role is $190,000 - $225,000.

In addition to your salary, H.B. Fuller offers employees a competitive total rewards package including comprehensive benefits, incentive and recognitions programs, health & wellness benefits, 401K contributions, paid time off and paid holidays. Eligibility may vary.
