Compensation Grade: P23Compensation Details: Minimum: $86,019.00 - Maximum: $86,019.00 AnnuallyDepartment (OPH) CCH - Division of Family HealthJob Description: Responsibilities The Evaluation Specialist III, working within the Bureau of Health Equity and Community Engagement, will be responsible for the coordinating the evaluation of community health programs designed to reduce the spread of infectious diseases in rural, underserved, including those that have been historically marginalized communities throughout New York State. The incumbent will coordinate, design, and promote an evaluation process for small, grassroot community-based organizations who may or may not have experience contracting with state government. The incumbent will perform education sessions for grantees on the data collection process and provide individualized technical support and guidance if needed. The incumbent will coordinate data collection and database management; analyze and summarize data to interpret results; analyze and prepare data for reporting, internal reports, presentations, posters, tables, charts, and graphs; and develop presentations for stakeholders and the public. The Bureau of Health Equity and Community Engagement's mission is to engage, build trust, and create partnerships with community-based organizations that are credible messengers and who are responsive to the needs of their community. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of experience in the evaluation and/or analysis of health, human services or related programs and/or fields; OR an Associate's degree in a related field and five years of such experience; OR seven years of such experience. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one year of such experience. Preferred Qualifications
Conditions of Employment Temporary, grant funded position expected to last through May 2026. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required. Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Travel, 25% of the time, may be required. The selected candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the official work location specified in the job posting and must also be located in or willing to relocate to one of the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, or Massachusetts, prior to hire.
