About the Role
As the President, TRSS, you will be responsible for developing and executing the strategic vision for the organization, including overseeing a diverse team of approximately 350, leading the TRSS Executive Leadership Team (ELT), and partnering with the TRSS Board of Directors. The President, TRSS will work closely with the ELT to cultivate relationships with clients through in-person meetings and market events; this includes identifying new executives of key government agencies to expand integrated opportunities and grow the federal business. The President will also have a direct role in shaping the company's overall strategy, overseeing operations, and ensuring the achievement of financial targets. As the President, TRSS, you will also contribute to a variety of areas including:

  • Developing and growing the TRSS business through brand management, product development, pricing strategies, new product development and services.
  • Proposing, managing, and monitoring annual revenue and profit targets, ensuring delivery to plan.
  • Working closely with the TRSS Board of Directors to identify new growth areas, with a focus on counter-threat finance and supply chain risk.
  • Partnering with the Federal Government team to build C-suite relationships with key government agencies and identify new growth areas and expand integrated opportunities.
  • Leading and developing the TRSS Executive Leadership Team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Managing all third-party relationships including tender proposals and contracts, external content providers, and key customers.
  • Overseeing all primary business functions (including client services, sales, operations, and finance) to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Assuming full P&L responsibility, ensuring that business and financial objectives (revenue, renewals, margins, and accounts receivable) are met.
  • Participating in strategic and operational planning, working collaboratively with the management team.
  • Partnering with the parent company to align strategic goals, while maintaining FOCI (Foreign Ownership, Control, or Influence) mitigation requirements
  • Being accountable for both short-term and long-term objectives, with direct responsibility for driving profit and loss.
  • Overseeing all business operations of the organization including product development, engineering, marketing, sales, financial planning and control and business development.

About You
You're a good fit for the role of President, TRSS if you have/are:

  • Bachelor's degree. Masters or MBA preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 12+ years of experience within the government or with government customers with past solid experience in an executive level position.
  • A deep understanding of the government contracting business.
  • A persuasive communicator with excellent public speaking skills.
  • Unwavering commitment to quality and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • An Analytic and decisive decision maker with the ability to prioritize and communicate to staff key objectives and tactics necessary to achieve organizational goals.
  • An action-oriented, entrepreneurial, flexible, and innovative approach to managing a business.
  • The ability to collaborate internally and with customers.
  • The ability to generate respect and trust from staff and external constituencies.
  • Experience as a business unit head of a small or medium organization or (generally <$100mil).
  • Experience planning, directing, and controlling all activities for a small-to-medium division or subsidiary.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. national security clearance.

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations.
Eligible office location(s) for this role include one or more of the following: New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and/or Irvine, CA; McLean, VA; Washington, DC. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $273,000 - $409,000.
This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
