Position Summary

Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Principal Systems Engineering Support professional supporting a high-priority acquisition mission within the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's Special Programs Division (AFLCMC/HNJ). AFLCMC/HNJ is responsible for delivering advanced electronic and cyber warfare capabilities and is organized into three branches located at Hanscom AFB, MA. This full-time position supports efforts performed within a Secure Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) or Special Access Program Facility (SAPF).



Responsibilities

In this Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) role, you will provide expert-level support to Department of Defense (DoD) programs by assisting government leadership with decision-making, planning, and execution throughout the acquisition lifecycle. You will apply your technical and/or professional expertise to ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations, contribute to mission success, and help deliver critical capabilities to the warfighter.

Duties include, but not limited to:

    Develop, implement, and execute innovative systems engineering practices and processes

  • Produce and maintain high-quality technical products across large, complex projects

  • Analyze, trace, and manage functional and non-functional requirements, architecture components, and test cases

  • Translate business strategies into long-term technical roadmaps and conduct feasibility reviews

  • Provide clear recommendations, questions, and issue resolutions to senior leadership and stakeholders

  • Drive systems engineering process improvements to enhance mission support

  • Conduct data analysis and provide solutions through senior-level presentations

  • Apply systems engineering methods and tools, including SEAM and CMMI frameworks



Qualifications

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

Minimum Required Qualifications

Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Top Secret clearance with SCI and SAP eligibility

Preferred Qualifications

Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Top Secret clearance with SCI and SAP eligibility

Education: MA/MS in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related technical field

Years of Experience: 18+ years of experience in a related field

Technical Skills

  • Expertise in SEAM and Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI)

  • Knowledge of Agile acquisition and DoD acquisition lifecycle

  • Familiarity with IT acquisition or cyber operations

  • Experience with SAP/SAR programs

Interpersonal Skills

  • Strong presentation and communication abilities to senior leadership

  • Ability to lead cross-functional technical teams across complex efforts

  • Skilled in requirements elicitation, traceability, and stakeholder engagement

Travel: May be required at the discretion of the customer
Onsite: Onsite (Secure Facility environment)
