The Opportunity: The Head of Discovery Research CVM is a pivotal role reporting to the Global Head Cardio Metabolism & Immunology (CMI) within Roche's Pharma Research & Early Development (pRED). With Roche's commitment and strategic focus to strengthen our position in cardiovascular and metabolic (CVM) diseases this is an outstanding opportunity to impact this growing therapeutic area and positively affect human health. You will be responsible for building the pRED CVM Discovery team and developing a sustainable vision and strategy for a growing organisation of talented researchers, tackling diverse aspects of CVM. You will lead and oversee the CVM discovery research strategy and portfolio, driving innovation and guiding a multidisciplinary team to develop groundbreaking therapies that improve the lives of patients worldwide. In addition your key responsibilities will include:
Who you are: You will have a Ph.D. or Ph.D./M.D. in Cardiovascular or Metabolism or a related field, combined with 15+ years experience in CVM research, and a proven track record in discovery and preclinical development. You will be a recognized scientific expert in the field of CVM with a track record of CVM research publications.
