Job Title: Manager, Manufacturing Training Job Summary: The Manager, Fleet Manufacturing Training leads the strategic development and execution of workforce training and operational excellence initiatives across ambulance manufacturing and refurbishment operations. This role partners closely with cross-functional leaders to design, coordinate, and deliver scalable training programs that enhance quality, efficiency, and safety. The position reports to the Senior Manager Fleet Manufacturing Operations and supervises a team of training coordinators and subject matter experts. Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field (required) or equivalent combination of experience/training
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (Preferred);
- Black Belt or equivalent certification (preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations or training, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, and manufacturing best practices
- Valid driver's license
Essential Responsibilities: Training Program Leadership:
- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive training strategies to support operational goals across all departments.
- Oversee the creation and delivery of blended learning solutions (instructor-led, hands-on, online, and video-based).
- Establish and promote a culture of continuous learning and workforce capability development.
Training Operations Management:
- Manage training calendars, scheduling, and coordination across multiple shifts and departments.
- Ensure the consistency, relevance, and quality of training programs through regular assessment and improvement.
- Serve as a key facilitator and coach for technical and compliance-related training sessions.
Data, Metrics & Reporting:
- Define, implement, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to training effectiveness, quality, and production efficiency.
- Prepare monthly and ad hoc training and performance reports for senior leadership review.
- Maintain accurate and auditable training records in compliance with regulatory and quality requirements.
Team & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a small team of training coordinators or specialists.
- Facilitate collaboration across departments to ensure alignment on training priorities and operational improvements.
- Foster a customer-centric approach when working with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Administrative Oversight:
- Manage administrative functions including training documentation, front office coordination, and supply procurement.
- Support onboarding, compliance, and certification tracking in partnership with HR and Safety teams.
Safety, Compliance & Quality:
- Ensure training programs reinforce organizational safety and compliance standards.
- Promote a safe working environment through training reinforcement and behavioral observation feedback.
Other Duties:
- Participate in audits and inspections related to training and process compliance.
- Represent the Training & Process Improvement function in cross-functional leadership meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Manager Fleet Manufacturing Operations.
