Position Description

The Commercial Trainer for North America is a key member of the Commercial Excellence Department, focused on aligning QIAGEN's values with commercial selling skills across sales teams. This remote role focuses on training programs that enhance product knowledge and sales performance.

This remote role can be based remotely in the US or onsite in Germantown, MD.

Key responsibilities:

- Align Sales with QIAGEN's Values: Work closely with sales teams to integrate QIAGEN's values into commercial selling strategies and collaborate with business partners on product learning, certifications, and assessments.

- Training Development & Delivery: Design and deliver product and sales training, provide feedback, and evaluate training performance to ensure skills are developed, and new products and sales techniques are mastered while adhering to budget constraints.

- Field Engagement: Travel for training activities, work with business partners, and contribute to marketing projects. Provide field travel reports to management.

- Sales Tools and Culture: Review and enhance sales tools, promoting a positive team culture, and contributing to overall performance improvement.

- Partner with Sales Leadership: Advise regional leadership on sales methodologies, drive adherence to best practices and global standards, and collaborate with global teams for knowledge exchange.

- Execution & KPIs: Align regional training with global expectations, bridge field needs with internal directives, and execute plans and KPIs for effective implementation.


Position Requirements

- University degree in science, business administration, or related fields.

- Multiple years of experience in sales management, ideally within digital insights/bioinformatics, molecular diagnostics, or life sciences sales.

- Knowledge of and ability to coach on at least one standard selling model (e.g., SPIN, CSS, Miller-Heiman, PSS, etc.).

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly PowerPoint), CRM systems (preferably Salesforce.com), and other relevant tools.

- Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Advanced level of Spanish would be a plus.

- Strong presentation skills to engage and inspire audiences.

- Experience in sales training is a plus but not required.

- Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $115,000 - $145,000. Compensation will be based on the candidate's experience, skills, geographic location, and other job-related factors. In addition to base salary, we offer a total compensation package that includes a bonus plan, overtime potential, and generous benefits.
