Responsibilities

(This role has a hybrid schedule with 3 days in office and 2 days flex-remote)

The UHS Corporate Human Resources Department is hiring a HR Generalist to provide support to key department projects (e.g., START, m3, employee engagement survey, new acquisitions, etc.), assists with quarterly consolidation of metrics (e.g., START, m3, etc.), maintains and organizes e-HR policy files, etc. Additionally those role will collaborate with other members of the HR Operations team and serve in a dual role as employee advocate and management liaison.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Sole responsibility for corporate office employee leave of absence process, which includes but is not limited to communicating with employees, tracking LOA specifics, and inputting transactions timely in the HRIS system
  • Development and interpretation of HR policies and Employee Handbooks, employee relations, assisting with management of external complaints (e.g., EEOC, State Civil Rights, &, etc.), trending employee relations data, development and presentation of HR competency training programs, development of procedure to assess root cause(s) of "bad outcomes", as needed conducts regular site visits, participates with HRD orientation and other training programs, etc. Provides support to BH VP of HR, and Acute Care Division Director as requested by Director, HR Operations
  • Analyze and interpret sensitive internal and external ER activities alongside Corporate Director - HR

  • Provide, as directed, support for corporate appeals for internal disputes

  • Manage tuition reimbursement process and gift matching process for corporate office

  • Organize and regularly updates e-HR policy folders on shared drive

  • Develops and interprets HR policy and Employee Handbooks as assigned

  • Supports periodic needs assessment to align corporate HR priorities with Hospital business needs

  • Provides support to HRM for orientation

  • Supports Sr. HR Coordinator with preparing Release Agreements and other settlement documents for employees transitioning from the company


Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with 3 - 5 years' experience in a corporate HR role, preferably in healthcare.

  • Must be knowledgeable of federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Must maintain sensitive corporate and/or field HR information confidential
  • Knowledge of HRIS, preferably Lawson and Workday, Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, etc.
  • Periodic travel may be required
