Position Overview Baxter is seeking a highly experienced Global Training Senior Director to lead the transformation and verticalization of our global training organization. This leader will drive the creation and implementation of a standardized training framework, ensuring alignment with our strategic priorities and elevating the impact of training across all regions and functions. Reporting to the Vice President of Commercial Excellence, this role will be critical in establishing a new global standard for training excellence within Baxter. To accelerate commercial excellence and capability building, Baxter is creating a new Global Training & Commercial Capability organization to standardize, modernize, and optimize sales training, commercial capability development, and digital learning platforms across the business. We are seeking a seasoned global leader to establish and lead this function-someone with the strategic vision, operational expertise, and commercial acumen to develop a world-class training infrastructure, drive process standardization, and partner effectively with senior commercial leaders. Role Summary As Senior Director, Global Training & Commercial Capability, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and leading Baxter's global commercial training strategy. This role will focus on standardizing commercial learning processes, aligning digital platforms, and building a scalable training ecosystem that enhances the skills and effectiveness of Baxter's salesforce. You will collaborate closely with senior commercial leaders, business unit heads, and regional teams to ensure that training programs are strategically aligned, impactful, and integrated into Baxter's broader commercial excellence framework. Key Responsibilities Strategy & Leadership * Define and implement a global commercial training strategy that aligns with Baxter's commercial objectives across all business units and regions. * Establish and lead a Global Center of Excellence for commercial training, setting standards for competency frameworks, learning methodologies, and performance metrics. * Build and lead a high-performing global training team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and commercial excellence. Standardization & Process Optimization * Develop a consistent, structured commercial training framework applicable across all Baxter business units, ensuring standardization and scalability. * Implement global competency models, structured onboarding programs, sales effectiveness training, and leadership development initiatives. * Drive harmonization of training delivery models across geographies to ensure consistency and efficiency. Digital Learning & Enablement * Lead the selection, deployment, and optimization of global digital learning platforms to create an engaging and scalable training ecosystem. * Integrate training programs with CRM, sales enablement tools, and other digital commercial platforms to provide data-driven insights into sales effectiveness. * Leverage AI, data analytics, and adaptive learning technologies to personalize and enhance learning experiences. Stakeholder Engagement & Business Partnership * Partner with senior commercial leaders, regional sales heads, and business unit leaders to ensure training programs meet business needs and drive measurable impact. * Act as a trusted advisor to global commercial leadership, providing insights on best-in-class sales capability development and training innovations. * Champion a culture of learning and development, ensuring strong engagement and adoption of global training initiatives. Measurement & Continuous Improvement * Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics to measure the effectiveness of commercial training programs. * Implement a data-driven approach to continuous improvement, using analytics and feedback to refine training strategies. * Regularly report training impact and commercial capability improvements to senior leadership. Qualifications & Experience Required: * 10+ years of experience in global commercial training, sales enablement, or commercial capability development in a multinational organization. * Proven track record of building and leading global training organizations at scale, preferably in a complex, matrixed environment. * Deep expertise in sales methodologies, learning & development strategies, digital learning platforms, and sales enablement technologies. * Strong experience in standardizing training processes, competency models, and performance measurement frameworks across multiple business units. * Deep understanding of commercial organizations, salesforce structures, go-to-market strategies, and customer engagement models. * Exceptional leadership skills, with experience managing large, globally dispersed teams. * Ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders, driving alignment and adoption of global training initiatives. * Strong change management and project management expertise, with a track record of successfully rolling out large-scale global training initiatives. Preferred: * Experience in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare industries. * Background in digital learning transformation, including AI-driven learning solutions and modern sales enablement tools. * Master's degree or MBA in Business, Learning & Development, or a related field.
