SUMMARY
The Product Manager II will work in collaboration with the Product Management team on the ongoing development, implementation, and management of bank products. This position will oversee all aspects of the product lifecycle management, from idea generation to implementation and sunset for a defined product set. Additionally, this position will provide assistance in support of the daily functions of the Product Department, including project leadership, development of product materials and tools, conducting product research, and analysis with focus on short-term execution and long-term strategy, vision, growth, and end-to-end user experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages the development of the assigned product roadmap in alignment with the bank's annual operating plan and strategic initiatives.
  • Partners with business units and key vendors to keep the bank's product set ahead of the changing landscape.
  • Creates and manages project plans and business cases, including scoping the project, identifying key dependencies, vendors, and systems, and performing product analysis, financial reviews, and assessments.
  • Facilitates product compliance requirements, including monitoring regulatory changes, managing risk, and addressing reputational risk within the product line.
  • Maintains current knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Develops business requirements for products sourced through vendor relationships.
  • Evaluates and enhances actively sold and serviced products, identifying opportunities for revenue growth, tracking profitability, and managing changes to assigned products; this includes evaluating the impact of regulatory changes, conducting risk assessments, incorporating bank initiatives, and performing customer needs analysis for new and/or enhanced products and services.
  • Utilizes customer feedback, industry surveys, employee input, and competitive product analysis to inform decisions.
  • Develops deep expertise in all assigned products and services.
  • Maintains the content of product grids, fee schedules, rate sheets, disclosures, and other product-related materials to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Creates product materials and tools for training use and spearheads communications regarding product updates, launches, campaigns, or procedural changes.
  • Acts as the subject-matter expert and provides responsive assistance to branches, client support, and other departments company-wide for product-related support and solutions.
  • Evaluates product data sets and reports, and communicates results and recommendations to product managers.
  • Assists with promotional campaigns in collaboration with Marketing, preparing campaign materials, ordering collateral, tracking results, and coordinating with branches, sales, and delivery teams.
  • Monitors the marketplace to identify product trends, risks, and opportunities, and reports these findings as needed.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 4-6 years related industry experience required
