Based in our San Francisco office, as a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer, you will have a pivotal role in shaping and guiding projects and teams and actively influencing the direction of the West Coast mechanical engineering practice. This position offers the opportunity to make impactful decisions and introduce innovative ideas and perspectives, fostering a cohesive and collaborative environment. Our diverse portfolio showcases projects across multiple sectors, with an emphasis on healthcare facilities and also corporate headquarters, laboratories, museums, government facilities at local, state, and federal levels, higher education buildings and campuses, and infrastructure improvements. With the rapid evolution of building codes and technologies, we seek professionals who possess expert knowledge of applicable codes and regulations, extensive expertise in mechanical engineering systems application, sustainable design, and resiliency planning. Ideal candidates will have excellent problem-solving skills and the capability to collaborate with both internal and external clients to deliver high-value performance solutions on HGA's projects nationwide. In this role you will:
be responsible for HVAC engineering design including: calculating heating and cooling loads, select equipment, layout duct and piping, create and edit project details, and write and edit project engineering specifications;

Salary Information: The pay range listed aligns to the geography of the office for which this position will posted. Actual compensation will be based upon work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Individuals in this role working more than 24 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in HGA's robust benefit programs which include an annual bonus and success sharing bonus program, 401(k) guaranteed contribution, paid parental leave, medical, dental and life insurance plans as well as PTO and short- and long-term disability programs.
