Global Data Steward - Forecast to Plan (FTP)

About the Role: We are looking for a Global Data Steward to support the Digital Journey Strategic Initiative. The strategic outcome is to modernize our business processes and systems to simplify and automate our work and make information readily available. The Global Data Steward will be a part of a multi-program, multi-disciplined team with an initial scope of work spanning Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Manufacturing Execution System (MES), and Electronic Quality Management System (eQMS). We're looking for a Data Steward to play a key role in ensuring data quality and governance across multiple business processes. This role will initially focus on supporting the Forecast to Plan (FTP) workstream, helping to establish and maintain accurate, consistent, and reliable data. The ideal candidate will wear multiple hats-collaborating across teams, identifying data issues, and driving process improvements that enhance operational efficiency.

This position offers multiple work arrangements: on-site at our Cherry Hill facility in Elkton, Maryland, hybrid or fully remote work allowed in most locations within the United States, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Partnerwith Digital Program Team, Enterprise Transformation Office Data Team, and Data SMEs to inform a global roll out implementation plan considering all needed master data management program deliverable execution details and cross program interdependencies
  • Identify data domain deliverables and leaddeliverable execution in alignment with program timelines
  • Collaboratewith Digital Leadership to develop a data domain governance process and facilitatealignment to the governance process and expected disciplines
  • Serveas steward for data domain governance process by representing data domain emerging needs, facilitating escalation to the leading implementation of data domain governance decisions
  • Serve as the authority and responsible person for all things data domain related including partnering with Digital Journey Leaders and data management community to implement industry best practice data disciplines for policies and standards, data architecture documentation, data quality, data management processes, data translation, governance, and training for data domain related topics
  • Partnerwith the Digital Leaders and fellow Global Data Stewards to create a data migration plan that includes identifying source systems for direct data transfer from legacy systems to future systems as well as business requirements for computed, derived, and manual data creation
  • Facilitate data domain profiling, analysis and cleansing as well as facilitating data domain extraction, comparing to agreed standards, and identifying gaps and/or deficiencies
  • Support data migration activities by participating in data migration tests/trial loads, coordinating with end users to perform business data validation, performing user acceptance data domain testing, and facilitating corrective actions during and following cut over
  • During sustainment, workas a part of the Digital Team (including Global Business Process and Data team members) to supportthe life cycle of data and related systems including upgrades, data health metrics, industry best practices

Required Qualifications:



  • Minimum of 5 years data management, data and analytics disciplines, or data governance experience
  • Demonstrated experience surfacing and resolving risks, issues, and decisions to navigate ambiguity
  • Experience working with cross-functional business and digital/IT partners to identify data needed to execute the business process and resolve conflicts relating to data; as well as understand the broad impact of data related decisions
  • Proficient leading and executing data activities throughout all phases of an SAP S/4 HANA implementation project
  • Strong systems solutions aptitude and demonstrated self-starter and self-learner to rapidly acquire and apply new information and skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both technical (IT) and non-technical audiences; convey complex concepts in a simple manner and relate to business impact and value to leadership
  • Ability to facilitate discussions to influence or lead change with multiple groups/cross-functional team
  • Ability to travel 10%



Desired Qualifications:



  • Experience as a planner or working with planning in a supply chain commitment
  • Experience in Forecast to Plan Data Domain within an ERP system
  • Knowledge of industry best practices for data strategy, data governance, and data management including knowledge of the DAMA framework



Remote Working Arrangements are permitted for Associates in the continental United States (US) and Canada, with appropriate approval and compliance with Gore's remote working policies, from the country in which they are employed.
