Responsibilities

We currently have a great opportunity available for a Procurement Analyst. The Procurement Analyst is responsible for providing operational purchasing support for indirect goods and services. The Procurement Analyst will be responsible for all operational purchasing and vendor management functions. The Procurement Analyst will evaluate and improve processes and procedures to improve compliance and enable Sysmex businesses to effectively procure goods and services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assist Category Managers in preparation for strategic sourcing projects.
2. Identify and execute cost reduction strategies with suppliers on an as-needed basis. Ensure compliance with departmental policies on obtaining multiple quotations/bids.
3. Perform all operational Purchasing functions including processing purchase requests into purchase orders, assisting with resolution of price/qty discrepancies, set up and maintenance of SAP purchasing data, and monitoring delivery commitments.
4. Function as Sysmex vendor master owner, including create / change process and workflow management.
5. Maintain Procurement's document repositories of executed agreements, supplier reviews, and any other relevant procurement documentation.
6. Provide Purchasing SME support to internal and external audits including FDA, JSOX, and other Quality Assurance and Regulatory requirements.
7. End-user training content owner for purchasing and vendor master processes.
8. Identify and implement procurement process enhancement/efficiency opportunities, working with internal team(s) as needed.
9. Perform other duties as required.

Percentage of Travel: 5%

Physical Demands: Light physical effort. Routine handling of objects up to 20 pounds; prolonged (at least 50% of time) sitting, standing, keyboard or CRT work. May require periods of moderate discomfort due to noise, dust, lighting and/or other conditions.



Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree required, minimum of 2-5 years of purchasing experience with knowledge of current purchasing principles, methods, and techniques.

  • Negotiation and sourcing experience preferred.

  • ISM, ASCM or other related certifications related to supply chain.

  • Ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience with purchasing functions in an ERP system. SAP and ServiceNow experience is highly preferred.

  • Proficient in Microsoft tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word, etc.

  • Good, clear and concise communication and presenting skills.

  • Detail oriented and very organized.

  • Additional languages of preference include Spanish and Portuguese.

  • Microsoft Office Suite: Proficient in Microsoft tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word, etc.

  • SAP & ServiceNow.

  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

  • Performs a variety of tasks.

  • Works under general supervision.

  • A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required

The salary range for this role is $58,100 to $91,300. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The total compensation package for this position also includes a choice of health care plan (medical, vision, and dental insurance), an annual incentive bonus, paid time off, parental leave, bereavement leave and a 401(K) for all eligible employees.
