Summary

Provides efficient and cost-effective office support operations to the NYPA enterprise. Ensures NYPA information assets are protected, accessible and supports business needs.

Provides support for efficient office management like copy/print services, mailroom services, shipping & receiving, reprographics and executive driving. Manages office supply inventory, prepares purchase orders, and processes/delivers office supply requests.

Responsibilities
  • Independently determines priority of work production; establishes work schedules and quality control procedures to ensure timely and efficient completion of work.
  • Coordinates NYPA reproduction requests with departmental representatives and resolves related issues.
  • Schedules, coordinates and participates in the printing production work of NYPA-wide printing, graphics and bindery work.
  • Ensures volume, cost and quality standards are achieved in production work.
  • Make hand deliveries and pick-ups of important documents and packages to executives or external parties, such as, Post Office, Bank Deposits and Bill Deliveries.
  • Operate postage metering machines, postal scale, and mailroom equipment. Complete certified, registered and overnight mail forms.
  • Distribute office, reproduction and computer supplies.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Advanced customer Service skills.
  • Ability to operate and maintain office equipment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of area highways and various locations.
  • Awareness/understanding of division between landlord and tenant obligations under NYPA's lease.
  • Ability to address issues and resolve disagreement with onsite rep of building management.
  • Ability to handle moderately complex work assignments.
  • Negotiation skills
  • Interpersonal skills to work effectively with building management, and potential vendors and contractors.
  • Communication skills to operate effectively under pressure through a clear understanding of responsibilities and adoption of reasonable production timeframes.
Education, Experience and Certifications
  • High school diploma, GED certificate required.
  • May require certifications and licensures needed to meet Energy industry, federal, state, or local regulations.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit at desk for long durations of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

The New York Power Authority is committed to providing fair, competitive, and market-informed compensation. The estimated salary range for this position is: $59,000 - $81,400. The salary offered will be determined based on the successful candidates' relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
