Overview

Advanced Technologies and Laboratories (ATL), a Planned Systems International (PSI) company, is hiring for a Supervisor, Health Physics in Richland, WA.

This position will support Navarro-ATL. Navarro-ATL is located in Richland, WA and operates, manages, and maintains the 222-S Laboratory Complex for the Department of Energy. Navarro-ATL members are Navarro Research and Engineering, Inc. (Oak Ridge, TN), and Advanced Technologies and Laboratories International (Gaithersburg, MD).



Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities

Provide leadership and oversight to field personnel in the planning and execution of Radiological work activities. Direct and control work in a manner that is consistent with Radiological Control requirements while ensuring a balance of craft skills, worksite supervision, and documentation. Ensure field personnel are compliant with company-mandated and other applicable policies, procedures, programs, and regulations including DOE directives, personnel safety, environmental compliance, and safety of the general public.

    Support planning and execution of Radiological work activities.
  • Provide leadership to meet established commitments and regulatory requirements, both internal and external.
  • Promote and be accountable for safety based on the principle of no injuries to employees.
  • Conduct management observations and assessments for safety, RadCon, and procedural compliance.
  • Resolve work and safety issues to permit safe and efficient performance of work in the field.
  • Provide timely guidance and performance management feedback to help others strengthen knowledge, accomplish tasks, or solve problems; respond to employee issues and concerns; resolve bargaining unit grievance issues to the extent practicable.
  • Facilitate the implementation and acceptance of change within the workplace.
  • Work to ensure a continually diverse and effective workplace.
  • Develop and sustain productive relationships with peers, senior management, craft, and the customer.
  • Attend plan of the day, plan of the week, pre-job briefings, and associated meetings.
  • Perform Management Observation Program (MOP) activities and assessments as required.
  • Interact with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, and Support organizations to meet deliverables and objectives.
  • Comply with HLMI policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain RadCon FLM Qualification.
  • Grade 18 - BA/BS degree in related discipline and 8 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Grade 19 - BA/BS degree in related discipline and 9 years of relevant experience, to include 3 years in a supervisory capacity, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.


Desired Qualifications

  • Previous Supervisory experience in radiological control (DOE Facility).
  • NRRPT certification is desirable.


Compensation

Grade 18: $106,663 - $134,588

Grade 19: $117,225 - $147,775

The grade level offered to the selected candidate will be based on business needs and the candidate's education, training, and/or relevant experience.
