CNC Methods Specialist

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • Responsible for designing, developing and implementing optimal, cost-effective processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards ("fit- form-function").
  • Communicates with maintenance and production groups to maintain and enhance equipment reliability.
  • Will direct and or perform various maintenance tasks both safely and efficiently.
  • Responsible to teach / train other craftsmen and production employees about specific equipment repair and maintenance procedures including LO/TO procedures.
  • Hands on execution in a leadership role in the control and execution of planned / scheduled work, overhauls, rebuilds, shutdowns / outages, construction / installation work, emergency response / breakdowns, routine / day-to-day maintenance, and system enhancements or improvements.
  • Performing daily routine checks / PM of equipment.
  • Demonstrates, through actions, a commitment to the philosophy of continuous improvement, problem solving and teamwork in all aspects of performance.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Qualified Tool & Die Journeyman. 10 years of documented CNC programming and Machine Shop experience required.
  • Proficiency in technical math, including algebra, trigonometry, and geometry is required.
  • The ability to interpret complex components and assembly blueprints is required.
  • Proficiency in the application and use of inspection and test equipment is required.
  • Proficiency in material properties.
  • Proficiency in reverse engineering.
  • Must be proficient in the programming, set up and operations of all shop equipment.
  • Qualifies as a Machinist.
  • Must meet company requirements for fall protection.
  • Ability to work in a production oriented environment.
