The Job

The Sales Training Specialist, Sr. is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive training programs that support a high-performing sales workforce. This role includes developing and delivering effective training curricula that align with organizational goals, while preparing new and existing sales representatives to excel through enhanced skills and knowledge. The specialist will also lead process improvement initiatives, leverage technology to support training efforts, assess ongoing training needs, and ensure the sales team is fully equipped to achieve performance targets and drive business success.

You Will



  • Design and Develop Training Programs. Create comprehensive training curricula for new hires and tenured sales staff that align with sales strategies and business objectives.
  • Facilitate and Deliver Training. Conduct engaging, interactive training sessions-both in-person and virtually-to build sales knowledge, product understanding, and consultative selling skills.
  • Assess Training Needs. Evaluate skill gaps and identify training opportunities through performance data analysis, feedback from sales leadership, and employee assessments.
  • Optimize Learning Tools and Technologies. Utilize learning management systems (LMS), e-learning platforms, and sales enablement tools to deliver scalable, effective training experiences.
  • Monitor and Measure Training Effectiveness. Track training outcomes using KPIs, assessments, surveys, and performance metrics to ensure learning objectives are met and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead Process Improvement Initiatives. Identify inefficiencies in training processes and recommend solutions to enhance program delivery, consistency, and learner engagement.
  • Collaborate Across Departments. Partner with Sales Leadership, HR, Marketing, Compliance, and Product teams to ensure training materials are accurate, up to date, and aligned with strategic goals.
  • Maintain Training Documentation. Develop and maintain up-to-date training manuals, job aids, reference materials, and standard operating procedures.
  • Support Onboarding Programs. Lead onboarding sessions for new sales employees to accelerate ramp-up time and instill company culture, values, and expectations.
  • Stay Current on Industry Trends. Keep informed of industry best practices, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes to ensure training remains relevant and impactful.

Your Qualifications



  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Required Certifications or Licenses: Health Insurance Producer License
  • Experience Required: 5+ years Healthcare industry experience in Sales, Medicare and Medicaid. 5-7 years of training facilitation experience.
  • Technical expertise

  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proficient in MS Office, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Familiar with digital press (copy machine) for the fulfillment of training material
  • Spanish speaking preferred, not required
