The Compliance Specialist will support Check Point Software's Strategic Programs for Public Sector, ensuring compliance with government contracts, E-Rate, grants, federal funding programs, and RFPs. This role will focus on managing regulatory requirements, tracking funding opportunities, and ensuring proper alignment of Check Point solutions with procurement policies and compliance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Contracts & Legal Compliance:



  • Review and ensure compliance with government contracts, cooperative agreements, and procurement policies related to cybersecurity solutions.
  • Assist in managing E-Rate, GSA, NASPO, and other public sector contract vehicles, ensuring adherence to program requirements.
  • Work with legal and finance teams to support contract negotiations, renewals, and amendments.



Grants & Federal Funding Research:



  • Identify cybersecurity-related grant and federal funding opportunities for K-12, higher education, state, and local government agencies.
  • Research and interpret funding eligibility, program guidelines, and compliance requirements for grants applicable to Check Point solutions.
  • Track funding application deadlines and support partners and internal teams in aligning solutions with available funding sources.
  • Ensure grant-funded projects comply with government regulations and reporting requirements.



E-Rate & Procurement Compliance:



  • Monitor E-Rate program rules, ensuring Check Point's eligible solutions (Quantum firewalls, content filtering, etc.) align with program compliance.
  • Verify E-Rate quotes for compliance, ensuring correct SKUs and eligibility restrictions are followed.
  • Research federal, state, and local RFPs for cybersecurity solutions and assist in summarizing key requirements and submission processes.
  • Support RFP response development, ensuring compliance with procurement regulations and security requirements.
  • Track and analyze evolving public sector procurement policies that impact cybersecurity purchasing.



General Compliance & Risk Management:



  • Maintain a compliance tracking system for contracts, E-Rate, grants, and RFPs to ensure visibility and alignment with funding cycles.
  • Conduct regulatory and policy research to stay updated on changes impacting cybersecurity procurement and public sector funding.
  • Provide guidance to internal teams and partners on E-Rate, grant funding, and public sector procurement compliance best practices.
  • Collaborate with legal, sales, and government relations teams to address compliance concerns proactively.


Government Affairs:



  • Help build a Government Affairs practice
  • Lobbyist and consulting oversight
  • Alignment with legal and finance
  • Understanding of lobbying and procurement laws and process

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of public sector procurement, E-Rate, grants, and contract management related to cybersecurity solutions.
  • Experience with government contract vehicles (e.g., GSA, NASPO, state contracts) and funding programs.
  • Ability to review, interpret, and apply grant and procurement requirements to Check Point solutions.
  • Familiarity with E-Rate rules, eligible services, and compliance guidelines.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple funding and procurement opportunities.
  • Research and analytical skills to assess funding eligibility, contract risks, and compliance requirements.
  • Effective communication and collaboration with internal teams, partners.
