Primary Purpose of the Job:

Leads the Platform Manager and IT Operations teams and blends responsibilities of a project manager and operations manager. Partners across business and technology teams to deliver IT solutions and support across ASB. Accountable for ASB's banking system operations, providing troubleshooting and support of the ASB's banking systems.

Major Job Accountabilities:

  • Works with the team and appropriate stakeholders to establish and execute short-term and long-term strategic plans for applicable IT Banking Systems to align with ASB's strategic objectives.
  • Provides oversight of key initiatives, including performing as a project manager for those initiatives as deemed necessary.
  • Ensures business stakeholders and vendors are united in prioritization of projects and deliverables; ensures that projects are appropriately resourced.
  • Manages the assignments and scheduling of Ops Analyst team, ensuring adequate coverage for all Banking Systems/Applications, including availability for providing 24/7 coverage to respond to mission-critical system/application failures and to deliver on established Service Level Agreements (SLA).
  • Performs analysis to develop and implement processes/solutions to address business challenges and participates in developing Business Case and Request for Proposal (RFP) documentation, as needed to identify solution alternatives.
  • Leads the team to execute application and system implementations, upgrades, security, and program configuration/maintenance, development and disaster recovery exercises and participates, as necessary.
  • Serves as a role model for business enablement through the use and implementation of technology to others in the organization.
  • Manages relationships with major vendors and service providers to ensure they are cost-effective in meeting the needs of the Bank. Performs vendor management accountabilities, as necessary, which includes but is not limited to negotiations, dispute resolution, scope management, cost management and service level compliance.
  • Ensures that system/applications processes (including those of external service providers) are conducted in line with corporate social responsibility, environmental and technical policies and applicable standards and legislation.
  • Develops productive relationships with business leaders across the organization to influence how systems/applications can enable new sources of value.
  • Assists with developing the budget for IT Banking Systems and provide guidance in technology purchasing and contracts.
  • Able to mentor, interact, and ensure cross-team and cross-department cooperation. Coach, counsel, and motivate to better develop resources assigned to them.
  • May work evening/night hours to meet critical deadlines.

Experience Required:

  • Seven (7) years of experience in the Information Technology Field
  • Five (5) years of experience managing and/or leading technical projects

Required Skills or Training:

  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to grasp key concepts and communicate effectively with technical staff, business stakeholders and upper management.
  • Proven ability to communicate technical concepts to a nontechnical audience to enhance understanding and drive to decisions that lead to positive outcomes.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities with competing demands for resources.
  • Demonstrates excellent analytical, data processing and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in process formulation and improvement.
  • Possesses solid knowledge of systems development lifecycle methodologies.
  • Proficient at developing visual models such as workflow/network diagrams in Microsoft Visio; demonstrates high proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications.
  • Solid knowledge of PC and Server Operating Systems.
  • Possesses solid knowledge of data and system integration methodologies.
  • Proven communication and collaboration skills to bring together user groups, clients, and stakeholders to develop and achieve the product road map.
  • Expertise in gathering requirements and documenting user needs.
