OVERVIEW

The Maintenance and Reliability Manager will provide leadership for a large 24/7 maintenance team with multiple work schedules, who supports the production of multiple product platforms.

This team is comprised of Team Leaders, Asset Care Leaders, Mechanics, and Control Technicians. This position requires considerable interaction with plant floor personnel, leadership team, engineering, external support, and vendors.

Hannibal is a multi-platform non-union facility with approximately 1000 employees leading the safe, high-quality production of a wide range of products ranging from thermally processed soup to granola bars, taco shells, flour tortillas and other dry processed products.

  • Ability to develop superior talent - develop a team of direct reports while also developing maintenance capability throughout the site
  • Build coaching skills and expertise in Foundational Systems that will enable a Zero Loss Culture

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Enable the transformation of Zero Loss Culture in the maintenance organization and demonstrate Servant Leadership behaviors
  • Build and maintain a strong working relationship with Maintenance Leadership, Asset Care Leaders, Storeroom personnel, Engineers, Operators, and Mechanics
  • Develop and foster a communication network that promotes interaction between mechanics, operators, Team Leaders, and managers
  • Create a proactive work environment that involves mechanics in the planning, coordinating, and execution of work
  • Owns Planned Maintenance Pillar locally and provides leadership to ensure that Maintenance Leads, Team Leaders and Asset Care Leaders develop an Equipment Reliability Program that incorporates the 12 systems of Planned Maintenance
  • Develop expertise in the maintenance organization on all electrical/controls platform
  • Responsible for Plant Maintenance budgets for all business platforms along with production facilities
  • Institute a zero breakdown methodology using Continuous Improvement tools and processes. Position will have an active role in the PM pillar both in the Plant and Corporate
  • Ensure Maximo CMMS system is fully utilized
  • Implementing and using predictive maintenance technology to increase reliability and increase planned maintenance activity
  • Ensure effective utilization of plant maintenance resources
  • Manage the integrity and maintenance of all plant assets, including production equipment, facilities and utility equipment
  • Establish maintenance prevention specifications to ensure the plant and equipment is reliable and easily maintained
  • Engage in strategy, direction, and execution discussions for maintenance/reliability and plant wide initiatives
  • Coach and develop line team maintenance leads to enable breakthrough results and use of foundational systems
  • Setting direction and spart part strategy for storeroom and spare part inventory
  • Maintaining utility systems including ammonia system regulated by the ARM program

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related degree with applicable experience or extensive relevant work experience
  • 4-5 years of manufacturing experience Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated understanding of technology, including complexities of products, equipment, and costs
  • Demonstrated understanding of proper elements of Preventive/Predictive Maintenance program
  • Development of best practice standards for all Maintenance functions and activities
  • Experience with World Class Maintenance, TPM, or similar systems

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from ABET-accredited program

Salary Range



The salary range for this position is $106800.00 - $160300.00 / Annually. At General Mills we strive for each employee's pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
