Job Description
TRT Holdings, Inc. is the holding company and investment arm of the Rowling family, with primary interests in hospitality, energy, real estate, and private equity. TRT owns Omni Hotels & Resorts, consisting of nearly 60 luxury hotels located primarily in the United States. TRT also has a diversified private equity portfolio with investments spanning several industries including healthcare services, business services, financials, and manufacturing.
Responsibilities
The Associate will work on the Private Equity team with a primary focus on sourcing, evaluating, and executing new opportunities as well as supporting the existing portfolio companies. The role involves levels of involvement in all aspects of private equity investing, including: * Assisting with the production of key finance and investment deliverables including detailed financial models, analysis, investment memos and recommendations * Supporting the sourcing, negotiation, due diligence, valuation, deal structuring and execution effort for new investments * Performing special studies and analyses in areas such as financings, budgets, forecasts, hedging and cash flow consolidations * Following industries strategic to TRT to learn the key drivers and trends that influence decisions and keep team members informed * Preparing monthly TRT board meeting materials inclusive of detailed investment reviews and updates along with summarizing key developments for the executive team; and * Assisting in the screening and review of new opportunities with the ability to source new investments leading to actionable pipeline activity
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or equivalent training is required. A minimum of one year of banking, private equity, accounting or financial analysis work experience is required (two-four years preferred). * Strong financial modeling ability with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word * A strong interest in and passion for issues related to investing * Excellent quantitative abilities and analytical skills with a proven understanding of financial statements * The ability to confidently interact with and influence internal and external relationships, including senior business executives * Exceptional written and oral communications skills * An eagerness to take initiative; the ability to work independently and multi-task; strong organizational skills
