Primary Function of Organizational Unit (DELTA)
Digital Education and Learning Technology Applications (
DELTA)'s role within the Office of the Provost is to advance the integration and support of learning technologies in NC State's academic programs and courses, both on campus and at a distance.
DELTA supports distance-based credit programs and courses for the university and provides enterprise academic technology and instructional support services for all modes of course delivery. Working with NC State instructors and partners,
DELTA leads the way in designing, creating, implementing, and supporting extraordinary digital learning experiences for our community of learners.
DELTA applies expertise in technologies and pedagogies to create and nurture innovative, effective, and impactful digital learning experiences for our community of instructors and learners with a collaborative, service-oriented, and innovative mindset.
Primary Function of Organizational Unit (NCSCaLE)
NC State Continuing and Lifelong Education is a key strategic leader, catalyst, and partner in the development and delivery of cutting-edge, market-driven continuing and lifelong education programs and services that benefit individuals, organizations and communities throughout North Carolina and beyond. The division serves as a hub of activity offering continuing and lifelong learning opportunities in face-to-face, online and hybrid modalities, utilizing professional meeting facilities for small to large groups, and providing technical assistance as well as outreach and engagement to a variety of organizations, agencies and communities. |
Essential Job Duties |
The Email Content and Automation Specialist is a key marketing and communications team member supporting two divisions within the Office of the Provost - Digital Education and Learning Technology Applications (
DELTA) and NC State Continuing and Lifelong Education (NCSCaLE).
In this role, you'll support the organic and paid marketing and communication goals of the Marketing and Communications team using a
CRM or marketing automation tool to support audience engagement and lead generation. The ideal candidate is driven and detail-oriented, with foundational to intermediate experience in email marketing and marketing automation, and wants to deepen their expertise and contribute to pipeline growth and customer experience |

Qualifications
Minimum Experience/Education |
Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |
Other Required Qualifications |
- Experience in content writing, including supporting email marketing and/or marketing automation.
- Hands-on experience with HubSpot Marketing Hub or a similar marketing automation tool (building workflows, creating landing pages, managing lists, analyzing reports, etc.).
- Strong understanding of audience segmentation, engagement, and lead-nurturing tactics.
- Strong understanding of email best practices and performance reporting.
- Familiarity with lifecycle marketing strategies and customer journey mapping.
- Understanding of marketing strategy and application.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic HTML/CSS for email formatting.

Preferred Qualifications |
- Experience or passion for marketing higher education programs in the online and/or continuing education market.
- Automation systems certifications (e.g., HubSpot, etc.).
- Experience supporting lifecycle marketing practices
