Reporting to the Manager, AS Metal Operations Finance, the Finance Manager oversees all finance and accounting functions for the business. The incumbent collaborates with business leadership to drive revenue growth, enhance manufacturing efficiency, and maximize ROI. Key responsibilities include financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, product costing, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and corporate policies.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with department heads to develop financial strategies that align with business goals. Provide financial modeling and scenario analysis to support decision-making on pricing, expansion, and resource allocation. Regularly assess revenue trends, market conditions, and operational efficiencies to identify opportunities for sustainable growth.
  • Oversee all aspects of the financial close, ensuring accurate and timely completion. Perform in-depth variance analysis comparing actual performance against budgets, forecasts, and prior year results. Identify key drivers of financial performance and communicates insights to leadership, enabling proactive business adjustments.
  • Design and implement financial models to evaluate profitability, cost performance, pricing strategies, and return on investment (ROI). Provide actionable insights by analyzing sales trends, expense drivers, and operational efficiencies. Enhance forecasting methodologies using advanced analytics and automation.
  • Lead the development of comprehensive budgets, including revenue projections, standard costs, and SG&A (Selling, General & Administrative) expense planning. Work closely with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with operational strategies. Continuously refine budgeting processes to improve accuracy and adaptability.
  • Assess cost structures and recommend operational efficiencies to drive profitability. Conduct financial evaluations for capital investments, ensuring optimal allocation of company resources. Track and report on savings generated from process improvements and investment decisions.
  • Maintain financial integrity by enforcing corporate financial policies and accounting standards. Conduct periodic internal audits to assess adherence to regulatory requirements and mitigate risk exposure. Work with auditors and compliance teams to address potential vulnerabilities and improve governance.
  • Act as a trusted financial advisor, delivering critical business intelligence to leadership, auditors, and internal teams. Prepare dashboards and presentations to communicate financial health, business trends, and risk mitigation strategies. Facilitate discussions on financial performance and strategic opportunities.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance financial reporting accuracy, efficiency, and automation. Identify bottlenecks in accounting workflows and implements process enhancements. Introduce best practices for financial management to support scalability and operational excellence.
  • Guide and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and professional growth. Provide performance feedback, training opportunities, and career development support. Ensure alignment between team capabilities and evolving business needs.
  • Lead special projects as assigned.

  • Highly detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and delivering quality financial insights in a timely and professional manner.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling tools.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Workday for financial reporting and analysis.
  • Ability to provide strategic financial insights that align with company goals and improve business performance.
  • Experience in process improvement initiatives and leveraging automation tools to enhance financial reporting efficiency.
  • Understanding of internal controls, corporate financial policies, and compliance regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field required (MBA preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience working within a manufacturing, distribution, or corporate finance environment required.
  • Previous experience managing and developing finance professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement required.
