Job Summary

Teach a variety of instructional courses related to Business at Chandler - Gilbert Community College.

Essential Functions

Supervises and instructs a population of students in a classroom setting; develops written syllabi/course outlines and course materials; evaluates knowledge of subject matter taught and monitors students' scholastic records; prepares and grades assignments and exams, Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

The Occupational Teaching Fields require any of the following experience and/or education from an accredited college or university:

A. Five (5) years of occupational experience in the field to be taught OR

B. Three (3) years of occupational experience in the field to be taught and a Bachelor's degree OR

C. A Master's degree in the teaching field OR

D. A Master's degree in any field with 18 graduate credits in the teaching field OR

E. A Master's degree in any field with a combination of 24 upper division and/or graduate credits in the teaching field (Upper division courses are Junior and Senior level courses in obtaining a Bachelors' degree)

Desired Qualifications

A. Master's degree in Business Administration or related business area such as small business or entrepreneurship, such as degree from an AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) accredited, research-oriented university.

B. Three years of teaching experience at the community college level in management, marketing, small business and/or other business courses.

C. Experience as a manager or small business owner.

D. Experience teaching online management, marketing or small business courses with LMS system such as Canvas.

E. Industry experience using various types of social media and small business software.

Special Working Conditions

Must be available to work from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Mondays through Thursdays in person.
