What does a Senior Labor Relations Partner at Swire Coca- Cola do?

The Senior Labor Relations Partner will be a part of the Labor team responsible for delivering high-quality Labor strategies, partnerships with other HR organizations, and relationships with bargaining unit leadership and staff in alignment with the company's overall Labor Strategy. The LR Manager ensures consistent application of Collective Bargaining Agreements within Swire Coca-Cola and among local units and supports leaders in understanding of the grievance, administration, and intent of the CBA's.

Responsibilities:



  • Connect the Company's Labor Relations Strategy to business goals and objectives
  • Collaborate with operations management to ensure the Company's treatment of employees is consistent with core business values and objectives
  • Collect and analyze complex Labor Relations data and issues in a timely and effective manner
  • Assess needs and develop training specific to Labor Relations, coordinating deployment within the HR function and across the business
  • Interpret Collective bargaining agreement language, independently conduct training and education to all levels of leadership in support of the company's Labor Strategy and to generate positive business outcomes for Swire Coca-Cola
  • Act as liaison between HRBP, ER, Payroll, Talent Acquisition and Employee Experience teams, providing Labor expertise and oversight when new policies and practices are implemented
  • Consult with management and leadership in alignment with the Labor Strategy
  • Aligns Labor Relations activities with Supply Chain, Logistics, and Sales business goals and objectives by advising leaders on best practices
  • Keep current on Labor Relations trends and best practices. Participate in working groups representing Swire, recommending changes that support Swire values and strategies
  • Represent Labor Relations excellence when providing guidance and support on matters including policy application in the workplace, contract compliance and consistency regarding performance management/corrective action
  • Represent the Company in all labor related activities including grievance management, escalation up to and including arbitration
  • Lead and support negotiations preparedness, including negotiation and execution of labor contracts, , financial implications of contract proposals, and act as the primary communicator for the enterprise following the conclusion of negotiations.


Requirements:



  • Passion for Labor Relations and how effective relationships with unions can drive business results while understanding how remaining union-free enables flexibility and growth.
  • Understanding of Labor Law
  • Partnering within and among internal organizations (Supply Chain, Logistics, Sales, Communication, HR, Legal, Finance, and Safety) to build constructive relationships
  • Partnering with external resources to achieve strategic goals (external counsel, consultants)
  • Negotiation and mediation (need not be 1st chair for this role)
  • Manage multiple demands and deadlines from across the organization
  • Proven ability to handle highly confidential, sensitive, and potentially litigious issues
  • Ability to find and leverage resources in order to solve labor-related problems


  • Ability to travel more than 20% regularly across Swire system

Base pay range is $117,209 to $153,837 plus bonus structure (dependent on role) . Pay offered will depend on candidate's geographic location, prior relevant experience, knowledge, skills, & abilities.
