Department's Website: The Director of Recruitment and Outreach will be required to possess thorough knowledge of all undergraduate and graduate admissions requirements, departments, curricula, scholarships, and graduation requirements. They will manage and lead a team focused on executing recruitment, outreach, and student success priorities across the School of Art. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing a comprehensive recruitment and retention plan in collaboration with the School of Art Director and Chief of Staff. The Director will expand access to undergraduate and graduate programs through innovative outreach efforts targeting prospective students with a wide range of backgrounds. They will oversee recruitment activities and documentation with the Recruitment Coordinator, manage the scholarship process with the Scholarship Coordinator, and contribute and mentor staff managing course scheduling and advising. Strong collaboration with all School of Art staff is key to effective and successful execution. The Director plays a central role as a liaison with campus-wide student support services, such as Center for Student Success, Career Services, Registrar, and Financial Aid. Additionally, works closely with the Office of Development as needed to support donor relations and foster partnerships among arts organizations, high schools, and professional organizations throughout the community, state, and region. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
