Position Overview:

The Director of Data Warehouse will lead the architecture, development, and optimization of our enterprise data warehouse and data analytics platforms. This individual will oversee data operations supporting critical systems, specifically related to customer data and business intelligence. This role will be responsible for ensuring high availability, scalability, security, and integrity of data while enabling data-driven decisions across the organization.

A Day in the Life of the Dir, Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse:

Strategic Leadership



  • Define and execute the long-term vision for enterprise data warehouse aligned with business goals.
  • Partner with business leaders (Finance, Marketing, Network Ops, and Customer Experience) to deliver robust data solutions.
  • Translate business needs into technical requirements and data architecture strategies.


Team & Operations Management



  • Lead a team of analysts and developers.
  • Build a culture of performance optimization, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage vendors, consultants, and offshore development teams as needed.


Architecture & Development



  • Oversee the continued design and implementation of scalable data warehouse solutions.
  • Guide integration from diverse data sources.
  • Ensure robust ETL/ELT pipelines for high-volume, high-velocity data.


Data Governance & Security



  • Ensure data accuracy, availability, and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Define data access policies, metadata management, and lineage tracking.


Performance Optimization



  • Monitor and optimize data loads, queries, and system performance.
  • Establish standard processes for data quality and availability to meet internal and external reporting needs.
  • Actively support, promote and advance all aspects of Astound's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) goals and initiatives, recognizing it as a business priority, including creating a work environment where all employees feel valued, respected, heard and empowered to do their best work.
  • Other duties as assigned.



    What You Bring to the Table:



      • 10+ years of experience in enterprise data management, data analytics and business intelligence.
      • 5+ years in a leadership role managing large-scale data platforms and teams.
      • 5+ years expertise in broadband data domains and systems.
      • Extensive experience with Oracle databases.
      • Knowledge of ICOMS or similar Billing Systems.
      • In-depth knowledge of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, ETL processes, and data governance best practices.
      • Strong understanding of database design, optimization, and performance tuning techniques.
      • Proven experience in managing and maintaining large-scale enterprise data systems.
      • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex data-related issues.
      • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
      • Strong leadership and people management skills, with a focus on team development.
      • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
      • Certifications in data architecture or cloud platforms a plus.
      • Strong knowledge of Oracle SQL.
      • Experience with Data Visualization applications such as Tableau.
      • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Analysis Services and SharePoint.


        Education:



        • Bachelor's Degree in Data Analytics/Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Equivalent experience would also be considered.

        Base Salary: The base salary range for this position is $170,000 - $190,000 (annually), plus opportunities for bonus and benefits. The base pay range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, and capabilities.
